Pimples are a normal skin condition in which sebaceous skin oil glands become infected with bacteria, swell up and cause skin inflammation. More severe pimples are filled with pus. Experts say bursting pimples at home can make acne worse and cause infections.
However, there are many natural ways for how to get rid of pimples, including home remedies for acne that really work.
1- Ice
To quickly diminish the inflammation, swelling, and redness of pimples use ice. Applying ice to affected areas improve blood circulation, and tighten the skin pores and help in removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin.
How to use
You can apply crushed ice or ice cubes, whichever is convenient. Wrap it in the cloth, hold it against the affected area for few seconds. Repeat the process after few seconds
2- Steam
Steaming is superb for your skin toning, especially when you have pimples. Steaming open your skin pores and helps to get rid of dirt, oils, and bacteria confined in the pores that can cause inflammation or infection.
How to use
Take a large container fill it with hot water and let the steam to come in contact with your face for a few minutes. After that wash your face with lukewarm water and apply an oil-free moisturizer after drying.
3- Lemon
Applying lemon juice is another quick method to get rid of pimples. Lemon juice let pimples dry up faster. Only use fresh lemon juice as bottled juice has preservatives and not recommended. There are a couple of ways to apply this remedy.
Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice and apply it to the pimples before going to bed.
You can also mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and put it on the pimples overnight. In the morning, wash the skin well with lukewarm water. However, this remedy is not suitable for those with sensitive skin.
